Fifteen years experience as a professional shooter with too many titles to mention, and 14 years gunsmithing experience. Who would know better than myself, the importance of 100% reliable, accurate firearms.

 From the beginning I had a goal, to become the USPSA national champion and IPSC world champion. I soon began to realize that it took 100% reliable, "no compromise" firearms to reach my goals. I started losing competitions because my firearm was not performing the way I thought it should. It was then that I decided to learn how to build my own competition firearms.

 In 1989 I moved from Nova Scotia, Canada to the United States to pursue my gunsmithing/shooting career. Under the wing of master gunsmith, George Smith, I soon learned the art of pistolsmithing.

 In 1993 I started "McLearn's Custom Machines". In that same year I won the USPSA national championship and IPSC world championships using guns I built myself.

 In 2003 I decided to work for a large firearms manufacturer, SigArms. Together we designed the GSR; SigArms version of the 1911. This firearm became "Gun of the Year" and boosted rave reviews in the firearms industry.

 I am now back in business, with a totally new custom shop, to offer you the most reliable, accurate, firearms available. Whether it be for competition, personal protection, or recreation, my handcrafted guns will not let you down.
